tanpa kami sadari, anggota paspampres ternyata kebingungan mencari tahu keberadaan putra mahkota pak kalla. wakakakaka.

another reading. this one is regarding indonesian’ economic team. good enough to provide us with different perspective in seeing things in indonesia.

enough is enough. i once said juventus were lacking of something. and yes they do. they aint got any trophy this year, for the second year in a row under claudio ranieri. enough is enough. juventus are tired being second all the time. it’s time to chop off his head and get someone with winning mentality, just like jose mourinho, to lead the team. wait!!! dont stop there. we also want gigli, blanc, and secco’s heads. enough is enough.

Calcio Debate: No More Nice Guys – Should The Whole Juventus Board Resign?
Claudio Ranieri’s position at Juventus has become almost untenable, but Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, Jean Claude Blanc and Alessio Secco are now also under-fire. Carlo Garganese believes that all four of them are too nice to win in Turin…
23 Apr 2009 12:20:45

“Inter are always winning and I think it’s because the Juventus directors are too nice.” These were the words of the Old Lady’s ex-transfer guru Luciano Moggi just last week, and he is absolutely right. The entire Calcio world, barring joyous Inter supporters of course, are calling for Claudio Ranieri’s head, and rightfully so, but should the ‘Tinkerman’s’ superiors also be handing in their resignations?

Comparing the Triade of Antonio Giraudo, Roberto Bettega and Moggi to Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, Jean Claude Blanc and Alessio Secco is like comparing The Three Tenors to the Marx Brothers. And when you throw Ranieri in front of the camera as well, you really do have a comic act that surpasses anything ever seen in Hollywood. Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport have made it clear that they have no trust in the current Juventus project, and this morning blew up a huge front page picture of the quartet minus their weakest link Secco, headlined: “Restate Tutti?” – “Everybody Staying?”

The decision-makers appear to be well out of their depth at Juventus. Aside from numerous technical, strategic and transfer errors since 2006, they really are as Moggi said, “too nice” to succeed.

The honest person in life may be loved by everyone but he never achieves anything noteworthy. The businessman who plays everything by the book, obeys every law, and treats his staff like his own children – he will never build up an empire. You have to be ruthless and cynical. The nice guy never gets the girl. You can be her best friend, and treat her like a princess, but she would much rather go for the bad boy who offers a bit of excitement and intrigue.

Football is no different. The nice guy, who has no enemies, ends his career with an empty trophy cabinet – Claudio Ranieri being the perfect example. The callous and cold-blooded coach, who is prepared to win by any means, retires having won everything in the game – Jose Mourinho and Fabio Capello being two such illustrations.

Giraudo, Moggi and Bettega, particularly the former two, may have been somewhat shady characters, but they were born winners. They defended their family at all costs, and it never entered their heads that they may be offending anyone else. The only thing on their minds was Juventus. The current directors are so concerned with the new crystal clean image of the club that they have allowed it to affect their decision-making.

For example, Mathieu Flamini could have joined Juve on a free transfer from Arsenal last summer, but Gigli, Blanc and Secco did not want to damage their relationship with Arsenal, so they let in Milan. Did ‘The Gunners’ ever care about Barcelona’s feelings when they poached a 16-year-old Cesc Fabregas from Camp Nou, and he went on to become one of the best midfielders in the world? What about when Manchester United took Giuseppe Rossi from Parma, Federico Macheda from Lazio, and Davide Petrucci from Roma – attackers who are tipped for greatness? Perhaps this explains why the Premier League is so dominant right now. England may have completely lost its identity, it may be almost totally dominated by foreigners and rich owners, but all the top teams are interested in is winning, and these ruthless methods are clearly working.

Of course, there are unethical limits that no club or league should pass, but if Juventus are to return to the top, they need to lose their ‘nice guy’ image, and they may also need to lose some or all of their management team.

What are your views on this topic? Are the Juventus management too nice too succeed? Who should stay and who should go out of Gigli, Blanc, Secco and Ranieri? Goal.com wants to know what YOU think

Carlo Garganese, Goal.com

i had previously made a hospital patients satisfaction survey for griya waluya hospital in ponorogo and just finished another survey of  business partner satisfaction for the same hospital.

the former was obviously easier than the latter. plenty of references were available on the internet to prepare it. however, i was in the dark when preparing the second survey, due to limited  information available everywhere.

the intention of preparing the second survey is to measure how satisfy the hospital’s partners with the services provided by the hospital. obviously, it was also set up to find out the areas where improvement could and should be made.

im curious to find out how respondents would react on the questions and how well the hospital have performed hitherto. hope to see that in the near future.

well well well, im not completely surprised to see recent developments in indonesian political constellation. democratic party has become the main contender to win the presidential next july since their success in acquiring more than 20% voters in the last election. that result is, however, not enough to nominate president – vice president candidate without forming coalition. the party has been consequently lobbying other parties, islamic ones, such as prosperous justice party (pks), national mandate party (pan), and national awakening party (pkb) in order to form a coalition. this effort might meet serious problems in the near future, as the party also tried to bring golkar back in to the coalition.

it was pks that opposed the idea of bringing golkar back in to the coalition. the party didnt want that the next cabinet to be formed upon power sharing, like what happened in the current cabinet.

the notion of going back into democratic’s side might also backfire on golkar. golkar once declared its intention to nominate its own president candidate, and therefore going back on their words would certainly do some damage to their image. on a side note, golkar might fall apart into some fractions, should the coalition with democratic party materialize. there were some people within golkar that didnt want it, and might consequently revolt against their leader.

on the other side of the constellation, pdip has tried to form a coalition with gerindra, hanura, and other parties (most of them do not meet parliamentary threshold of 2.5%). we are yet to know their president and vice president nominees. however, rumor has it that prabowo and puan maharani might well become the nominees.

i see prabowo and puan maharani, also EBY, as few individuals among the political elite that will shine in the future. puan maharani almost certainly will take over her mother’s position as pdip’s chairperson. by working together with prabowo to compete against SBY, puan will acquire tremendous political experience, which in turn will benefit her in the future.

there will be obviously some more developments in indonesian political world in the coming days and weeks. it will be interesting to see who the running mate of SBY will be and with whom they will compete in the presidential election next july.

it’s perhaps still too early to call, but democratic party has battered its opponents (despite all contraventions in some provinces) . based on different quick counts hold by different institutions, the party has a comfortable lead of 5% from its closest rivals (pdip and golkar).  one even predicted the party would reach the minimum requirement to nominate its own president-vice president candidates, i.e. 25% of the total votes, when the results of manual calculation by the General Election Committee (kpu).

the election basically provides no shock. democratic party comfortable leads the chart followed by indonesian democratic party-struggle (pdip) and golkar. prosperous justice party (pks), national mandate party (pan), and national awakening party (pkb) complete the top 6. meanwhile, two new parties, great indonesia movement party (gerindra) and the people’s conscience party (hanura), are also on the top 10.

it’s interesting to see what’s going to happen from now to the date of the presidential election. will Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) become indonesia’s next president? or will Megawati Soekarnoputri able to dethrone the incumbent president? the money looks good on the former though.
